On January 21, 2022, WCSC Live 5 News reported that the Summerville Police Department reported and is investigating a horrible crash in which a pedestrian was hit and struck by two separate vehicles.
The accident occurred around 10pm on Thursday, January 20, 2022 on Highway 78. An eye-witness reported hearing an loud noise and coming outside of a local convenience store to find the woman lying in the road.
Police described a silver Toyota traveling westbound that struck the woman and then disclosed that a second vehicle traveling eastbound ran over the woman.
Police have not revealed the identity or condition of the pedestrian struck by the two hit-and-run drivers.
